How should I prepare for my appointment?

Please wear loose-fitted, comfortable clothing and eat a light snack within an hour of your appointment. We encourage you to bring any questions you may have to your initial visit as well as copies of recent lab tests, basal body temperature charts, or your IVF calendar if applicable.

What happens in my initial consultation?

We value our patient relationships and always make it a priority to take the time to listen to you and learn your history, concerns & goals. During this process a trusted relationship is formed and much of this begins at your first visit. For couples trying to conceive, partners are welcome to attend the initial visit to better understand the process should they choose.

What happens in my first treatment?

We use very fine, single-use, sterilized, stainless-steel needles to gently stimulate specific acupuncture points on the body to rebalance the body's meridians (pathways of vital qi, blood and nutrients). Treatments may be performed face-up, face-down, sitting upright, or lying on your side depending on the condition(s) treated. If beneficial, we may incorporate additional therapies such as electrical stimulation, cupping, guasha or moxibustion. Reproductive abdominal massage or herbal medicine may be recommended if suitable.

What can I expect to feel after my treatment?

You can expect to feel very relaxed, centered, and grounded after your treatment. Many of our patients report feeling happier, calmer, more positive, hopeful, focused, and better able to enjoy a good night's sleep after their visit. These beneficial side-effects often last several days and the more regular and consistent you are with your care, the more progress you will make toward your goal!

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

Please respect our 24 hour cancellation policy. This is in place to ensure appointment availability for all patients desiring care. If you are unable to make a scheduled appointment, please let us know as soon as possible to avoid a late cancellation or missed appointment charge.

Do you take insurance?

In-Network Insurance

We accept most United Health Care and Optum Health plans. Coverage varies by plan and it is the patient's responsibility to verify benefits and eligibility.

Out-of-Network Insurance

All other insurance is considered out-of-network and we will provide you with a coded receipt to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. This allows payment to be sent directly to you and allows our practitioners to spend quality time on patient care.
