Timing of Fertility Acupuncture

To receive maximum benefit from fertility acupuncture, regular treatment is recommended for at least three full menstrual cycles when trying to conceive or preparing for IUI/IVF.

during ivf cycles

During an IUI or IVF cycle patients are encouraged to start acupuncture as soon as possible to support egg quality and integrity of the uterine lining. In addition to regular treatment leading up to the start of you cycle, your IVF calendar will be followed with treatment 12-24 hours before and after intrauterine insemination, egg retrieval and fertilized embryo transfer.

first trimester & beyond

Once there is a positive pregnancy test weekly treatments throughout the first trimester, and especially the first 10 weeks of pregnancy, are recommended and strongly encouraged.
