Tara Anderson, L.Ac., FABORM
Tara is a Licensed Acupuncturist, Clinical Herbalist, and Board Certified Fertility Specialist. She has focused exclusively in fertility, pregnancy and women’s health for the past 15 years, immersing herself in the field of Integrative Reproductive Medicine to provide professional, experienced, and knowledgeable care. She has had extensive education and post-graduate training in the treatment of infertility and maternity care and is a fellow of the Acupuncture & TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine.
Specializing in TCM Fertility, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Tara treats a wide range of conditions related to women’s health and reproductive wellness. She commonly treats menstrual irregularities, period pain, PCOS, endometriosis, recurrent pregnancy loss, IUI/IVF support, male factor and unexplained infertility, breech babies, cervical ripening, labor preparation & induction, postpartum recovery, lactation challenges, hormone/thyroid imbalances, menopausal symptoms, sleep difficulties, and stress/anxiety. She works collaboratively with many reproductive endocrinologists, OBGYNs, MDs, midwives, and doulas to provide an integrated approach to each patient's fertility, pregnancy, and well-women care.
Tara is a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine through the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is licensed to practice acupuncture and herbal medicine in both the State of Oregon and State of California. She holds a four-year Master’s Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, CA, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), and is a certified yoga instructor and accomplished martial arts practitioner.
Tara enjoys the beauty and adventure that rural living and raising a young boy in the Applegate Valley bring. When Tara is not treating patients, she can be found enjoying the river and lakes with her family, in the garden, or cozying up with a historical fiction novel and cup of local coffee.
